Kanata Foot & Orthotics Clinic aims to provide quality foot care to all our patients in a timely manner. To ensure a good patient flow and to be respectful to other patients and the chiropody team, please carefully acknowledge our policy regarding cancellations, missed appointments and late arrivals.

  1. Cancel or reschedule your appointment

Our office requires a minimum of 24-hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling of your appointments. Please call 613-435-3020 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to cancel or reschedule.

  1. Fee for late Cancellations or No-Shows

For any late cancellations (when the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the appointment) or no-shows (when an appointment is missed without canceling), we reserve the right to charge the full treatment fee of the appointment.

  1. For new patients

Not showing up to your scheduled initial appointment will result in the inability to make a future booking. This allows other patients requiring our services to book an appointment.

  1. Late arrivals

We encourage every patient to arrive on time. For new patients, please arrive 5-10 minutes early if you have not filled out the new patient intake forms prior to your arrival.

We will accommodate you to the best of our abilities. However, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will have a shortened appointment time or we will  reschedule your appointment. This ensures that we have sufficient time to carry out the treatment and that other patients receive quality care on their scheduled appointment time. The original service cost for the appointment still applies.

No-shows, late arrivals and cancellations affect not only our foot specialists but other patients as well. We keep a waiting list for urgent and high risk cases that would benefit from our services sooner than their scheduled time.

Our policy is similar to many other medical clinics and we kindly ask all patients to adhere to it. We are aware that there are rare circumstances where 24-hours notice for cancellation cannot be given.  On such occasions, we will consider reasonable reason(s) to make an exception.
